"Venus In Furs" from their debut album "The Velvet Underground And Nico" released in 1967. Forming in 1965 they never achieved commercial success durring their time. Lou Reed's dark lyrics and John Cale's sound would later go on to influence many punk and alternative bands to come.

Answer: The Chambers Brothers

The hit "Time Has Come Today" was featured on The Chambers Brothers 1967 album "The Time Has Come." Forming in 1954, the four brothers from Mississippi gained their biggest commercial success with this eleven minute classic. Unable to build on their good fortune they split up in 1972. They would later re-group in 1974 and continue to tour.

Answer: Buffalo Springfield

The hit "For What It's Worth" was featured on Buffalo Spingfield's self-titled debut album in 1966. Forming in April of the same year Buffalo Springfield introduced the world to Neil Young and Stephen Stills. Band fighting led to constant lineup changes, then their total demise in 1968.

Answer: The Jimi Hendix Experience

"May This Be Love" was featured on The Jimi Hendrix Experience album "Are You Experienced" released in 1967. Born Johnny Allen Hendrix in 1942, then later changing his name to James Marshall Hendrix, this singer, songwriter, and guitar legend would go on to be one of the most influential guitarists in the history of music.

His full potential would never be known as he was the founding member of the infamous "Twenty-Seven" club - the age he passed away from a drug overdose in 1970.

"Eight Miles High" was first released as a single in 1966, and peaked at Number Fourteen on the Billboard Hot 100. It was later included on The Byrds album "Fifth Dimension" in 1966. In an attempt to leave their folk rock sound, a true psychedelic masterpiece was born.

"White Rabbit" from the Jefferson Airplanes album "Surrealistic Pillow" released in 1967. Blending folk rock and psychedelia, this San Francisco based group scored another Top 40 hit with "Sombody To Love" from the same album.

"When The Music's Over" from The Doors second album "Strange Days" released in 1967. America's most controversial band at the time, Jim Morrison's intelligent and literary laced lyrics made The Doors the darlings of the underground intellectual scene. However his untimely death in Paris in 1971 made him number three in the "Twenty-Seven" club.

"Eve Of Destruction" was written by P.F. Sloan in 1965. Many bands incuding The Byrds passed on this protest song. Barry McGuire ,with the help of top session players in L.A., cut a rough version in July of 1965. A copy was leaked to a local D.J. who began to play it, and the rest is history.

The song went to Number One and was featured on the album "Eve Of Destruction." McGuire never broke the Top 40 again.

Answer: Cream

"White Room" was featured on Cream's 1968 album "Wheels Of Fire." A double album, one side "Studio" the other "Live" showcased the talents of Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, and Eric Clapton. The album proved a great success for Cream peaking at Number Three in the UK and Number One in the US.
