1. Environmental activist who raised awareness for climate change

Answer: Greta Thunberg

Greta Thunberg is a Swedish activist who has been raising her voice to bring more attention to the problem of climate change. At the age of 15, she started protesting outside the Swedish parliament to bring the issue of climate change to the forefront.

This form of protest soon spread to other students and schools and an international movement called the 'school strike for climate change' took hold with students taking time off from school on Fridays to protest. Thunberg was invited to address the United Nations Climate Change Conference in 2018. For the 2019 UN Climate Action Summit she sailed to North America to avoid flying and adding to her carbon footprint.

In 2019, "TIME Magazine" announced the then 16 year old Thunberg as Time's Person of the Year, the youngest ever to be so named at that point in time.
2. Nobel Prize laureate and activist for female education

Answer: Malala Yousafzai

At a young age, Malala Yousafzai began campaigning for the rights of young women to obtain an education in her hometown in the Swat Valley in Pakistan. This brought her directly into confrontation with the Taliban in the region who had expressly forbidden girls from going to school.

When she was a teenager, the Taliban made an attempt on her life by shooting at her while she was travelling by bus, returning from giving an exam. Despite her critical condition, she survived the attempt after extensive treatment in hospitals in Pakistan and later the UK. Since then she has continued to campaign for female education and in 2014 she was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize making her the youngest Nobel Prize laureate at the age of 17.
3. Won Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the age of ten

Answer: Tatum O'Neal

Tatum O'Neal made her film debut in "Paper Moon", which also starred her father, Ryan O'Neal. The film was adapted from the novel "Addie Pray", written by Joe David Brown, and is set during the Great Depression. Tatum won an Oscar for the Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film. She was only ten, making her the youngest person to win an Oscar at the time.

Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain. His talent in art was visible in early childhood and he received formal training from his father, who was himself a painter. At age 13 he secured admission into the School of Fine Arts at Barcelona where his father taught and, by the age of 14, he held his first public art exhibition, though Picasso did not stay at the school to complete his course. Picasso's impact on the art world is unquestionable and he is credited with spearheading the Cubist movement along with some other contemporaries.

Blaise Pascal has made numerous contributions to the fields of science, mathematics, and philosophy. Considered a child prodigy, he began working on devising a mechanical calculator in his teens and was later credited with being one of the first two inventors of such an instrument. Recognizing his significant contributions to science, the SI unit of pressure was named Pascal after him.

Others like a programming language and an important law in hydrostatics also carry his name.
6. First to score a perfect 10 in gymnastics at the Olympics

Answer: Nadia Comaneci

Nadia Comăneci represented Romania in gymnastics at the Olympic Games. At the 1976 Summer Olympics held at Montreal, Nadia became the first gymnast to achieve a perfect 10 score. This was so unimaginable that the scoreboards were not capable of displaying a 10 and instead ended up showing the score as 1.00. Nadia was only 14 years old at the time.

She won three gold medals at the 1976 games and another two in the subsequent edition, resulting in a total of five Olympic gold medals.

LeAnn Rimes is an American singer and songwriter. Her debut album, "Blue", was released when she was only 14, and quickly climbed the charts earning a multi-platinum hit certification. The album won her Grammy awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance, making her the youngest Grammy award winner at the time.
8. Musical genius who composed his first symphony at the age of nine

Answer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Despite dying at the young age of 35, Mozart's repertoire includes more than 600 works of music. This was in part possible due to the early age at which this musical genius began composing. Records indicate that he was as young as four or five years old when he composed his first piece of music, and by the age of eight he had composed his first symphony. Before he turned ten, he had already completed a concert tour spanning over three years, and performed at royal courts in various European cities.
9. Won U.S. Open Chess Championship and became a grandmaster at age 15

Answer: Bobby Fischer

American chess grandmaster, Bobby Fischer, has long been hailed a chess prodigy. He was only 14 when he became the US Chess Champion, and, a year later, he was declared a grandmaster, the youngest at the time. In 1972, the played against Soviet chess champion, Boris Spassky, at the World Chess Championship in a game that was highly publicized given the rivalry between the US and USSR during this period. Fischer won the Championship further cementing his place in the game's history.

He is widely regarded by many chess experts and players as the one of the best players of the game of all time.
10. Memoir of life during the Holocaust

Answer: Anne Frank

Anne Frank was a young Jewish teenager who was forced to go into hiding along with her family when the Germans occupied The Netherlands during Hitler's regime. After spending over two years hiding in a small annex, the family was caught and Anne ultimately perished in a concentration camp.

Her father, Otto, was the only member of her family to survive the Holocaust. Once the war ended, Otto published a diary that Anne had maintained during their time in hiding. Titled "The Diary of a Young Girl", the memoir was a poignant account of a young girl's view of the world in the midst of the Holocaust. Translated into over seventy languages, the diary was one of many ways that brought a human face to this tragic period.
