Helena Christensen was born in Copenhagen in 1968 to a Danish father and Peruvian mother. She has one younger sister Anita. She won the Miss Universe Denmark crown in 1986 at the age of 17 and left home soon after to become a model in Paris where she was very successful and was dubbed a supermodel.

In later years she became a philathropist for breast cancer and climate change causes. she has home in Copenhagen, New York City and The Catskills in Upstate New York State. She dates INXS singer Michael Hutchence for five years in the 1990s.

She had a partner, actor Norman Reedus for five years (1998-2003). Together they have a son, Mingus Lucien Reedus who born 13 October 1999.

Mary Elizabeth "Sissy" Spacek, born in Texas in 1949, made her first credited role in 1971 "Badlands" and became noticed with her guest appearances on "The Waltons" in 1973. Her career defining role was "Carrie" in 1976 in which she was nominated for an Oscar.

After a series of popular movies, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for playing Loretta Lynn in "Coal Miner's Daughter" (1980). She also earned a Grammy nomination for the song "Coal Miner's Daughter" from the same movie. She married her husband Jack Fisk in 1974 after they met on the set of her first movie.

They have two daughters Schuyler and Madison.
5. 1950 former US Presidential Advisor

Karl Rove was Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff during the presidency of George W. Bush. After Mr Bush was elected US President in 2001, Karl Rove was appointed Senior Adviser and then given the title Deputy Chief of Staff to the President after 2004 Presidential election. Post-election Mr Bush publicly thanked Mr Rove, declaring him "the architect" of his victory against John Kerry.

In 2007 he resigned after Senate Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena for access to all his emails, regarding the "Dismissal of U.S. attorneys" controversy. Mr Rove was known affectionately as "Turd Blossom" by Mr Bush as this is a Texas term for "a flower which grows from a pile of cow dung".

Cabell "Cab" Calloway III was an American jazz singer and bandleader famous for scat singing and his residency at "The Cotton Club" In Harlem New York City.
Perhaps most well known for "Minnie the Moocher", a jazz song recorded in 1931 by Mr Calloway and his Orchestra featuring Dizzy Gillespie. Mr Calloway was inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame in 1987 and won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.

Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer, political activist and philanthropist. First coming into the public gaze as lead singer of The Tourists in the 1970s, she achieved worldwide fame with her partnership with David A. Stewart as the 1980s power group, The Eurythmics.

While Humphrey Bogart will always be remembered for his performances in 1940s films noir such as The Maltese Falcon (1941), Casablanca (1942) and The Big Sleep (1946), his film career spanned 30 years and was cut short by throat cancer from which he died prematurely in 1957. There is some evidence to suggest that Mr Bogart's real date of birth was January 23, 1900 "...to foster the view that a man born on Christmas Day couldn't really be as villainous as he appeared to be on screen".

However Mr Bogart joked about this, saying he was cheated out of a present by having his birthday on Christmas Day which was when he celebrated it with his wife, Lauren Bacall.

It was also the date on his marriage licence.
9. 1878 Swiss-American racing car driver and automobile manufacturer

Louis Joseph Chevrolet was a Swiss-American car racer who co-founded the Chevrolet Motor Company in Detroit with William Durant. He also designed the first Chevrolet automobile, a six cylinder tourer. He was born in Switzerland but moved to New York via Montreal in 1901. He died in Detroit in 1941.
