It says in John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John's book is different than the other three Gospels because he does not go into the lineage of Jesus, but rather tells everyone that God and Jesus are the same person, and Jesus has always existed.

It says in John 3:4, "Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"

Nicodemus was one of the Sanhedrin Pharisees. He showed favor toward Jesus.

Jesus often quotes the scriptures Himself.

Bread was very important to the Jewish people, so He used this metaphor to tell them that He was all they needed.

Later in Revelation, when Heaven is described, it says it is always light, but there is no sun or moon or anything like that. Jesus's light is so bright it lights up all of Heaven.

It says in John 10:11 "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep."

Christians are considered Jesus's sheep because we are to follow Him.
