Answer: He always played for Kansas City

Brett was one of those loyal players who played their entire career with one team. He played with Kansas City for 21 years from 1973-1993.
2. Who was the first pitcher to throw a no-hitter on an opening day season game?

Answer: Bob Feller

Feller is the only 20th Century pitcher to ever accomplish this. On opening day in 1940 he threw his first no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox in this Cleveland Indian win of 1-0.
3. What is the most number of wins that the Chicago Cubs have ever won in a season in the 20th century?

Answer: 116

The Cubs won a spectacular 116 games to only 36 losses in 1906. Their second best season high was in 1907 when they were 107-45. This was the highest win-loss percentage in the 20th Century.
4. What pitcher in 1973 combined with Nolan Ryan to give the team a record 624 strikeouts for two teammates?

Answer: Bill Singer

Ryan with 383 K's combining with Singer's 241 K's totalling 624 strikeouts, set the record for the greatest one-two pitching strikeout punch in baseball history in 1973 with the California Angels. In 2001, Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling surpassed that mark.
5. How many World Series did the New York Yankees win in the 1960's?

Answer: 2

They started the decade off with a bang, and won the titles in 1961 and 1962 after a loss to the Pirates in 1960. In 1963 and 1964 they won the American League Pennant again but could not come up with the rings. It would be 1976 before they appeared in the limelight again.
