Answer: Bob Gibson

Sadecki started the game and was bounced after giving up 3 runs in the first while only getting one out. Craig who got the win pitched four innings, and Taylor went four. St.Louis won 4-3.
2. Who was the first catcher to lead the National League in triples in a season?

Answer: Tim McCarver

McCarver with the Cardinals hit 13 triples in 1966 (he is the only player who achieved this mark during the 20th century). The only American League catcher to do it during the 20th century was Carlton Fisk in 1972 who hit 9.

Answer: Claudell Washington
