Answer: Fred Clarke

With outstanding hitting in his own right, Hall of Fame inductee Clarke, managed and played outfield from 1894-1911.
2. The Chicago Orphans (later Cubs), featured three famous infielders. The first "Tinkers-to-Evers-to-Chance", double play was turned in 1902. Who was the manager?

Answer: Frank Selee

Salee had previously managed the Boston Beaneaters in the 1890's. Considered a genius in his day, he was the mastermind behind the Chicago team that eventually won 116 games in 1906. He was forced to retire in 1905 due to poor health, he was succeeded by Frank Chance.
3. The 1906 Chicago White Sox, won the World Series against their crosstown rival Cubs. Who was the manager?

Answer: Fielder Jones

The 1906 White Sox were called the "Hitless Wonders", because of their poor batting average. Although considered huge underdogs against the Cubs (116 wins), they out-hit them in the Series.
