Lolich was 3-0 in 1968, leading the Tigers over the Cardinals in 7 games. Bob Gibson also won 3 games in a single World Series, going 3-0 vs. the Red Sox in 1967.

Oddly enough, home teams only went 2-4 in the 6 game sevens played in the 1960s. The Pirates won at home in 1960 and the Cardinals won at home in 1964. The Giants lost at home in 1962, the Twins lost at home in 1965, the Red Sox lost in Boston in 1967, and the Cardinals lost in St. Louis in 1968.
