Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Ruling Queen, no children

Answer: Cersei Lannister

Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) rules Westeros from the Red Keep, the prophecy in part fulfilled: her three golden children are dead. Cersei's father was murdered by her little brother, who now aligns with the Mother of Dragons. The Sept of Baelor is no more. Cersei's redeeming quality was a deep love for her children. Now that they are gone, is her last shred of goodness gone too? Cersei crowns herself Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, and stands between Daenerys and the Iron Throne.

Much of "Game of Thrones" is set in Northern Ireland, but as winter is essential to season 6 and beyond, shooting moved from Croatia to Spain.
2. Crossing the Narrow Sea to conquer Westeros

Answer: Daenerys Targaryen

Daenerys Targaryen, Khaleesi, Breaker of Chains, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, has formed an army, obtained her ships and raised three fire-breathing dragons. Dorne, Tyrells, Martells, Dothraki, Unsullied and some Greyjoys join her cause. Thus armed, and certain of her right, at the end of season 6 Dany is crossing the Narrow Sea, from Essos to Westeros, to take the Iron Throne.

But although King Robert, King Joffrey and King Tommen are dead, the throne is occupied.
3. Greyscale, ordered to go find a cure

Answer: Jorah Mormont

Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) is an exiled knight who spied for King Robert against Daenerys. He came to admire and love Daenerys Targaryen, becoming her advisor and guard. He kidnapped Tyrion Lannister but while saving him from stone men, Mormont was infected with deadly greyscale. Slowly his skin will harden and he will go mad, then likely be exiled like all stone men who live. Daenerys orders him to go out into the world and find a cure, then come back to her. Stannis Baratheon had a daughter, Shireen, who was cured of greyscale. Can Jorah find out how, in time?
4. King in the North

Answer: Jon Snow

Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) was brutally murdered by his own "brothers" of the Night's Watch, for befriending the Wildlings, but the Red Priestess brought him back to life. She declares him to be the prophesied "Prince Who Was Promised". No longer bound by the Crow oath he took "until death", Snow wages a battle, reunites with his half-sister and finally gets home to Winterfell.

The Houses of the north meet, and declare him the King in the North. But everyone is tense. Even Sansa and Jon are at odds. Petyr Baelish watches events carefully.
5. Expects to wed Sansa

Answer: Littlefinger

Petyr Baelish, known as "Littlefinger" obtained the castle Eyrie and its seasoned Knights of the Vale by manuvering the deaths of those in his way. When Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) pleads with him to save Jon Snow by joining the battle against the Boltons, he does so, saving the day.

But Petyr "wants it all". He expects Sansa to reward him by becoming his bride. He has carefully climbed from a small nobody to a Lord, and one day, he wants to be King of Westeros. But Sansa is no longer the naive child he knew.

She's been tortured and betrayed by terrible, cunning people. She is aware Petyr, though he proclaims love, is one of them.
6. Faceless, kill list

Answer: Arya Stark

Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) escaped the Lannisters with the help of the Night's Watch, after her father Eddard was executed. She was servant to Tywin Lannister during his battles with her brother Robb (murdered at the Red Wedding), and then trained at the House of Black and White, to become a student of the God-of-Many-Faces, Death. Now able to take on the face of anyone, Arya returns to Westeros, bent upon murdering Lord Walder Frey (David Bradley) who murdered her mother and brother.

By the end of season 6 Arya has not seen any family for years.

She's now a trained assassin, focused on crossing names off her kill list.
7. Loves an enemy, the King slayer

Answer: Brienne of Tarth

Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) has avenged her King Renly by executing Stannis Baratheon. As season 6 ends she's at the House of Tully, to ask Catelyn's uncle for help taking back Winterfell. Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has other plans, and captures the castle for the Lannisters. Stunned to see her there, he allows Brienne to escape down the river. Though they fight on opposite sides, they respect and love one another. Perhaps the only true and loyal care either has known.
8. Hag witch banished

Answer: Red Priestess

The stunning Red Priestess Melisandre (Clarice van Houten) is despondent when after committing murder and treachery to help Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) become King, she realizes she was wrong about him. Now she's certain Jon Snow is the Prince Who Was Promised. By season 6 she's shown her true form, a weary, ugly hag, 400 years old.

As this season ends Jon Snow banishes her south, for burning the sweet little girl Shireen Baratheon at the stake. Melisandre argues she is needed to fight the White Walkers, but Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) threatens to kill her if he ever sees her face in the north again.
9. White Walker, master of wights

Answer: Night King

Through Bran's visions we discover that some 1,200 years ago the Children of the Forest turned a man into a White Walker, the Night King (played by Vladimir Furdik season 6). He has certain powers such as super-strength, and control over thousands of zombies, called wights. Several times the Walkers tried to invade the lands of human men, so Bran the Builder created the massive ice wall, with magical protections in it. For 1,000 years the White Walkers seemed to be gone.

But the long night--a cold winter lasting years--is coming.

In season six Bran Stark is touched by the Night King in a vision, enabling the Night King and his wights to find and attack the safe haven of the Three-Eyed Raven. Brave souls fight. It doesn't go well. An unexpected family member makes the difference.
10. Pledges Ironborn to Dany

Answer: Yara Greyjoy

After Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) endured unspeakable torture at the hands of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), he saves Sansa and they escape. Theon and his warrior sister Yara (Gemma Whelan) lose their father to their cruel uncle Euron (Pilou Asbaek). Euron wants to kill his family, and has ambitions for a rape and a royal wedding. Yara and Theon flee to Essos, where Yara and Dany bond as powerful women. Yara pledges ships and Ironborn men to fight for Daenerys Targaryen, if she will kill their uncle. Agreed.
