Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Bobby's middle name?

Answer: Jeffrey

The season 1 DVD features this information. This is an interesting fact because unknown to most, Jeff is Boomhauer's first name. So, did Hank give his son his babehound friend's name as a tribute of some sort? Another thing that comes to mind is the fact that Peggy claims she wanted to name Bobby Jeffrey. Is Peggy hiding passion for B-Dog? Dang ol', what, man?!
2. What is Hank's body mass index?

Answer: 28.2

With a height of 6'2" and a weight of 220 lbs., Hank's BMI calculates to 28.2. We learn his height and weight (6'2" and 220 lbs.) in the season 9 episode "Dale to the Chief", when he gets his renewed driver's license that accidentally lists him as female, which leads to a huge battle against the government, Hill-style. We also learn his eyes are brown.
3. What is Peggy's mom's name?

Answer: Maddy

We see Peggy's mother rarely, and usually only for a few minutes at a time. She is very critical of Peggy, especially when it comes to her cooking skills and grammar. She also seems to be immune to the effects of aging. In the season 9 episode "A Rover Runs Through It", the Hills visit Montana, and mother Platter somehow looks a lot younger than she did in the earlier episodes.
4. Which athlete has appeared on "King of the Hill"?

Answer: Terry Bradshaw

Jeff Gordon was featured on the show, but didn't provide his own voice, Willie Lane is not a real Dallas Cowboy, and Mark McGwire has never been mentioned on the show at all. Terry Bradshaw voiced Preston Rogers, the head of the Booster Club. That episode, season 5's "Peggy Makes the Big Leagues", also featured James Brown, Brendan Fraser, and Howie Long.
5. What number was Dale briefly on the waiting list for executioners at the prison?

Answer: 129

He manages to get employed by the prison for extermination in season 3's "Death and Texas", and demands that he be put on the volunteer execution list for using "Ol' Squirty". The warden puts him on the waiting list as number 129, but after seeing Dale's giddiness, he erases his name. Dale's chant of "I'm gonna kill a killer!" is quite similar to "We're gonna get the Cowboys!" from the same season's "Hank's Cowboy Movie".
6. Hank always grills with propane.

Answer: False

In "Hank's Cowboy Movie", the section of the video montage with Hank's specially made double wide grill shows that Hank is grilling with charcoal. "BWAHHHHH!" He also grills with charcoal at least one other time, in order to test Peggy's "faithfulness" in season 5's "Hank and the Great Glass Elevator".
7. Who sings Peggy's favorite song?

Answer: Gloria Estefan

According to imdb.com, Peggy's favorite tune is Estefan's "Can't Stay Away From You". There does not appear to be any reasoning for this. Another interesting fact about Peggy is that her real name is Margaret.
8. What is the sales tax in Arlen?

Answer: 8%

This is clearly seen on the receipt when Bill is buying his foot fungus medication in "Leanne's Saga", from season 2.
9. How tall was Cotton before he lost his shins?

Answer: 6'4"

Hank divulges this info in season 4's "Cotton's Plot". Cotton probably would have been even taller, but he enlisted when he was not much older than Bobby. A doctor told him he would never walk again, but Cotton developed his own waddle. When he did, he walked up to that doctor and punched him in the kidneys!
10. Name John Ritter's character on the show.

Answer: Eugene Grandy

Ritter's final TV performance before his death was as Tom Landry Middle School band teacher Eugene Grandy. A nerdy guy, he had to reprimand Bobby for disrupting class to sing song parodies and showing cowardice as the Landry Longhorn.
