Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Ray, go fetch me the shotgun out of the hall closet."

Answer: Miss Ellie Ewing

This is from the episode "Survival", in which JR and Bobby's plane crashes. Miss Ellie is saying this about a reporter who has come to Southfork wanting information on JR and Bobby. Considering Miss Ellie's demeanor, this quote is pretty memorable to Dallas fans.
2. "A Ewing is a Ewing is a Krebbs."

Answer: Sue Ellen Ewing

Sue Ellen says this to Donna in the episode "Return to Camelot." She asks where all the men are and that she does not see any of them. Donna tells Sue Ellen to stop whining and that she's not the only one with problems.
3. "I'll show you how disposable I am when I leave Dallas with your husband."

Answer: Mandy Winger

Mandy says this to Sue Ellen in the episode "Fall of the House of Ewing". Sue Ellen fires Mandy from Valentine Lingerie. Alas, Mandy does leave Dallas but not with JR.
4. "You live with vipers, you become a viper!"

Answer: Cliff Barnes

Cliff says this to his sister Pam in the episode "Election". He is, once again, complaining about the Ewings.
5. "Give my regards to Sue Ellen...oh that's right, she dumped you."

Answer: Dusty Farlow

Dusty says this to JR in the episode "The Decline and Fall of the
Ewing Empire", the second to the last episode of the series. Dusty is gloating about JR losing Ewing Oil. Dusty Farlow was Sue Ellen's lover at one point, so their is no love loss between JR and Dusty. Ironically, the two become stepbrothers when Miss Ellie marries Clayton, Dusty's father.
6. "What, do you want to make me Vice-President of stupid deals?"

Answer: Cliff Barnes

Cliff sarcastically responds to Marilee's job offer in the episode "Where There's a Will." Marilee feels guilty. After all, she had helped JR set him up in the previous season which was one of the factors that led to Cliff's attempted suicide.
7. "I need a job...but I don't know how to do much of anything."

Answer: Lucy Ewing

This is from the episode "Lovers Come Back". Lucy is complaining about her problems to Pam. Lucy has never held a job before and is used to being known as the "spoiled rich girl".
8. "Dallas's gain is Washington's loss."

Answer: Clayton Farlow

Clayton says this after hearing JR is running for Senate in the episode "Hell Hath No Fury". JR's dislike for Clayton goes back to when he and Sue Ellen were divorced and Sue Ellen was living with Clayton and Dusty on the Southern Cross.
9. "I would rather sleep with JR than sleep with you, and I'd rather sleep with a carnival geek than sleep with JR."

Answer: Sue Ellen Ewing

Jeremy Wendell propositions Sue Ellen in the episode "The Sting". She turns him down with this frosty response! Jeremy Wendell has never been involved with a woman in Dallas to the viewer's knowledge, but thinks Sue Ellen is the "classiest lady". Too bad she doesn't feel the same about him!
10. "Real power is something you take!"

Answer: Jock Ewing

Bobby is complaining to his father Jock about not being able to use his power as president of Ewing Oil in the episode "Executive Wife". Jock lectures Bobby on attaining power.
11. "What? Rule against Sue Ellen of Assisi?"

Answer: JR Ewing

From the episode "Little Boy Lost", JR is worried that Sue Ellen will win custody of their son. His sarcastic response comes after Miss Ellie and Donna when they say the judge might still award him custody of John Ross.
12. "Oil, oil, everywhere, and not a drop for Cliff!"

Answer: Katherine Wentworth

Katherine Wentworth and Cliff Barnes never bonded like true siblings. Though they'd only known about each other for a short time, they immediately disliked one another. This quote comes from the episode "Hush, Hush, Sweet Jessie". Katherine is taunting her Cliff about not being able to strike oil.
13. "Goodnight, partner."

Answer: John Ross Ewing

John Ross says this in the episode "J.R. Rising", part of the infamous "Dream Season". He says this to his father as he plans for work at Ewing Oil. (Not really, of course. JR has shown John Ross around the office and plans for his son to take over eventually, but it is highly unlikely that oilmen will want to do business with someone that is under the age of ten.)
14. "The first time you step out of line with her, Sue Ellen will be a very attractive widow."

Answer: Bobby Ewing

"Return to Camelot" is the first episode after the "Dream Season", in which Pam wakes up and finds that Bobby has never died. Nobody but the viewers and Pam know anything to the contrary, and Bobby and Pam have announced their plans to remarry. JR is usual self in picking a fight with Pam and Bobby warns JR to leave Pam alone.
15. "For what we're paying him, he ought to be sleeping on our front porch."

Answer: JR Ewing

In the episode "Proof Positive", JR is complaining to Bobby about not being able to get a hold of Harve Smithfield, the Ewing family lawyer, late at night.
