Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Michael Scofield is a creative genius.

Answer: True

In episode nine 'Tweener', Sara had to contact the insurance company as Michael still had insurance and wasn't eligible for the prison to pay for his treatment. Sara was told that he had already met his psych deductible and found out he'd had psychiatric treatment.

She visited Michael's psychiatrist and found out some information about him. He suffered from Low Latent Inhibition, which is a condition that makes sufferers process all information around them. He used a lamp as an example and explained that normal people like himself and Sara would just process the shade, the bulb and the stand, whereas Michael would take in all the fixtures and fittings as well.

He told Sara that people with low latent inhibition and a low IQ would almost always suffer from mental illness, but combined with a high IQ it generally resulted in a creative genius.

When asked if he thought Michael was a genius, he replied to Sara, "In the classic sense of the word, then yes".
2. What crime did Michael commit so he could be incarcerated in Fox River?

Answer: Armed Robbery

Michael committed armed robbery in the Capital Savings Bank. He went in there with every intention of getting himself arrested. The bank teller had already given Michael $500.000 in cash and told him to leave as he already had plenty of cash. He refused and wanted her to open the vault.

She told him that only the bank manager could open it and as he was at lunch it was not possible. He then fired three shots into the air and told her again to open the vault. She again refused and told him she couldn't.

He fired two more shots and then the police had the bank surrounded. He surrendered both of his weapons and dropped the bag containing the money. He was taken to court and was sentenced to five years imprisonment on the charge of armed robbery.
3. What was Michael's prison number?

Answer: 94941

Michael's prison number was 94941. In the pilot episode, Bellick was asking for his details and asked for his prison number to which he replied "94941".
4. Michael formed a relationship with prison doctor Sara Tancredi. In which episode did the two share their first kiss?

Answer: Season one episode 19 - 'The Key'

Michael and Sara first kissed in episode 19, 'The Key'. Michael was trying to take Sara's key's from her so he could copy them and then gain access to the infirmary on the night of the escape. It was unclear at this point whether he was kissing her just to be close enough to steal her keys or if he really meant it.

He didn't take the keys and asked Nika to speak to the doctor and take her keys for him. She did and he copied them and replaced them in the infirmary. Unfortunately for Michael, Sara had the locks changed and wasn't able to use the keys that had been copied. Later in the season when Michael asked Sara to keep the door open, she asked if she was part of his plan.

She thought that she was and after leaving the door open, she returned home and took an overdose.
5. Michael Scofield is played by Dominic Purcell.

Answer: False

Michael Scofield is played by Wentworth Miller. Dominic Purcell plays his brother, Lincoln Burrows. The man incarcerated for Terrence Steadman's murder.
6. Before being incarcerated, Michael married a girl from the Czech Republic. We saw her a few times in season one and a couple of times in season two, but can you remember her name?

Answer: Nika Volek

Her name was Nika Volek and the first time we met her was when she came to the prison for a conjugal visit. Whilst in the privacy of the conjugal room she removed what looked like a credit card from her top. We later discovered this card was a swipe card so Michael could gain access to some of his belongings. Michael used Nika for help on numerous occasions, but the first time in season two was when Lincoln got shot. Michael asked Nika to look after Lincoln while he went to retrieve his car. Later after faking their own deaths they met up with Nika who brought them her car.

She accepted their offer of a lift to the next town, but they were ran off the road by Bellick and Geary who wanted Michael and Lincoln to take them to Westmoreland's money.

After escaping those two and saying their goodbyes to each other, Nika hugged Michael and whilst hugging Lincoln, she snatched his gun and threatened to turn them in. Lincoln then showed her the bullets as proof the gun wasn't loaded and it was all the evidence they needed that she couldn't be trusted.

They soon left without her and she was never seen again.
7. What was the reward offered for Michael's capture?

Answer: $100.000

The reward up for Michael Scofield's capture was set at $100,000 as was the other escapees. Only Lincoln had a higher reward set at $300,000.
8. In episode nine 'Unearthed' Michael used another part of his tattoo in his plan. He used a picture of an Apache Desert Ghost to find something. What was he looking for?

Answer: 3,200 nitroglycerin ampoules

He was looking for 3,200 nitroglycerin ampoules in the botanical gardens in Utah. He was to take the nitroglycerin to Bolshoi booze, a code for a GPS location in the desert, where people were waiting to receive them as payment for a plane to Mexico. Unfortunately when Michael arrived at the botanical gardens there were undercover FBI agents waiting for Michael to arrive. Luckily he spotted the agents and made his escape.

He lost the ampoules of nitroglycerin as they were in Agent Mahone's possession and had to improvise.

He entered a shop a picked out a GPS system and asked the shop owner for a full box of fishing reel oil. The total of the goods came to $96 and Michael didn't have enough money. He paid for the fishing reel oil and left the GPS but as the shop owner walked away to serve another customer, Michael took the GPS and started to leave the shop, he was stopped by the shop owner but he pushed the old man into a display and was told to "just take it". Michael left the shop and soon regretted his actions and so went to confession.
9. Michael has posed as a few people throughout season two, but who did he pretend to be in episode nine 'Unearthed' when talking to Pam Mahone, Agent Mahone's wife?

Answer: Wayne Merrick

Michael posed as FBI Agent Wayne Merrick so to gain information on his adversary, Agent Mahone. Michael convinced Mahone's ex-wife he was an Agent and asked to interview her about Mahone so he could be moved to a higher security clearance. She had taken part in interviews like this when she was married to Mahone so she wasn't concerned. Michael then got enough information to realise that he murdered the last fugitive he was assigned to chase. Oscar Shales. Michael then took Pam Mahone's cellphone and made his excuses to leave.

He later called Mahone and informed him of what he knew and asked him to leave himself and his brother alone.
10. Where did Michael choose as his destination to escape to?

Answer: Panama

Michael chose Panama as his destination to escape to. He had a boat commissioned in Panama named Christina Rose, which was another part of his tattoo. He had a small tattoo of Christ in a Rose which had the numbers 617 underneath. Mahone first thought they numbers were a date, but they were in fact a combination to a lock that unlocked the boat. Mahone was quick on Michael's heels and arrived in Panama shortly after Michael.

He captured Lincoln and Michael was soon at his aid. Mahone requested Michael's boat and Westmoreland's money.

He was given the key to the boat but Michael didn't give him the money. Mahone was later arrested after Michael had planted drugs on the boat. Later in Panama, after Sara had killed Kim, Michael was arrested for the crime and placed in the Panama prison Sona.
