Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Season 7 of "RuPaul's Drag Race" introduced how many new permanent judges?

Answer: Two

In the first episode, RuPaul introduced the contestants to the new, rotating, permanent judges: Carson Kressley of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" fame and "Tonight Show With Jay Leno" personality Ross Matthews. Although the first episode featured both on the panel, they would take turns with judging duties, appearing in weeks that better-suited their skill sets. Season 6 marked the departure of judging panel mainstay Santino Rice. Michelle Visage remained in her seat.
2. How many queens were featured as contestants in this season?

Answer: Fourteen

While season 6 experimented with its queens in early episodes by splitting them into two groups before merging them after an elimination in each, season 7 was a return to form, melding together its fourteen contestants in the first episode and asking them to create a series of runway looks (one spring and one fall) before a final 'nude illusion' runway show for the judges on the main stage. Kathy Griffin, who reappeared as a mentor later on in the season, was featured as a special guest judge in this week.
3. "In seven seasons, I've never seen a car crash like this before." RuPaul said as much in week three in which the contestants competed in a challenge with which theme?

Answer: Shakespeare

In week three, the final twelve queens were split into two groups and asked to learn lines to perform in one of two mock-Shakespeare productions themed around drag. Max led a team in 'Romy and Juliet' while Kennedy Davenport led a team performing 'MacBitch'.

Although Jadyn Diore Fierce broke down due to the pressures of the challenge, Pearl, Kennedy Davenport, and Jasmine Masters fumbled with too many lines and ended up in the bottom with the latter two lipsynching for their lives. It has since been considered one of the biggest trainwreck challenges in the show's run.
4. In the fifth week of competition, the queens competed against each other while presenting and winning what fake awards?

Answer: The DESPY Awards

In week five, with only ten queens remaining, the competitors partnered up to present 'The DESPY Awards' on the main stage, also voting and facing off against one another to win the awards in question. While Mrs. Kasha Davis led the ceremonies, awards were handed out for 'Shadiest Queen', 'Meatiest Tuck', 'Sexy, Sexy Drag Queen', and 'Most Busted Queen'.

After the ceremony, Mrs. Kasha Davis was sent packing to the song "Lovergirl" by Teena Marie.
5. For the first time in "Drag Race" history, how many winners were crowned as a result of the performances in Snatch Game?

Answer: Two

Held later in the season than usual, Snatch Game appeared in the seventh week of competition, pitting the final eight queens against each other with their celebrity impersonations. Kennedy Davenport took a risk with her 'boy drag' interpretation of Little Richard, but the judges felt it paid off enough to give her the win. Ginger Minj also took the win this week for her impression of Adele.

Many theorize that this was done to discourage male figures from the game in future iterations though Bendelacreme would take the victory in "All-Stars 3" for playing Paul Lynde. Max was eliminated at the end of the episode.
6. In the eighth week, Ru permanently brought back which previously eliminated queen?

Answer: Trixie Mattel

The eighth week of the competition is where things got really interesting. With seven queens left, RuPaul suggested that one of the queens may have been sent home too early, so she brought them all back and paired them up with existing queens to give them a chance to rejoin the game. For the maxi challenge, the paired-up queens needed to create a runway look as conjoined twins, and the winning pair would have their eliminated twin return to the game (this was Pearl and Trixie).

In a severely absurd lipsynch, Ginger Minj stayed in the game over Jaidynn Diore Fierce.
7. What Dreamland creator was a guest judge during this season?

Answer: John Waters

In the ninth episode of the competition, the final seven queens were told to perform in one of three group musical numbers themed around the works of John Waters, so Katya and Kennedy performed 'Cha Cha Heels', Ginger and Trixie performed 'Eggs', and Violet, Pearl, and Miss Fame performed 'Poo'.

After presenting their ugliest drag in front of John Waters and Demi Lovato on the judging panel, those participating in 'Poo' were seen as the worst of the week and Pearl and Miss Fame faced off in a lipsynch with the latter going home.
8. The final five were asked to create looks inspired by which cultural icon?

Answer: Hello Kitty

The penultimate week of the competition saw the final five queens making outfits out of Hello Kitty merchandise and then, halfway through the challenge, they were told they would need to make an additional look to wear alongside an oversized Hello Kitty head on the runway to form a character to be Kitty's new BFF. What resulted was a great deal of concern from the queens not known for their craftsmanship.

In the end, Katya faced off against Kennedy Davenport in a lipsynch to Katy Perry's "Roar". Katya went home, but would later be crowned Miss Congeniality at the finale.
9. The final four, as per the usual final challenge, were required to perform in a music video. This time, it was for which RuPaul single?

Answer: Born Naked

Much like in season 6, Ru asked the final four to perform choreography for a music video (this time "Born Naked") and then learn a script to perform a scene with Ru. At the end of this episode, one of the queens would be eliminated after all four lipsynched for their lives and they would be cut out of the final videos before everyone went to the finale. Ultimately, Ru chose to eliminate Kennedy Davenport in this penultimate week of the competition leaving only Pearl, Violet Chachki, and Ginger Minj left to face off for the crown.
10. Who won "RuPaul's Drag Race" season 7, becoming America's Next Drag Superstar?

Answer: Violet

During the live finale, RuPaul ended up crowning Violet Chachki 'America's Next Drag Superstar' over Pearl and Ginger Minj (who would reappear in "All-Stars 2"), picking the season's youngest queen to take the crown after a final lipsynch from each. Violet ended up winning the $100,000 prize as well as a year's supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics. Violet would later find more success in the fashion world as a runway model while also releasing several music singles.

She's also known for her roles in burlesque shows, working alongside Dita Von Teese.
