The cheerleaders supported the East Lake High School Spartans teams. They cheered at many of the Spartans' events even though they were not official members of the Spartan Spirit squad.

The school's chess team became distracted and annoyed by the cheerleaders constant cheering. A member of the chess team named Glenn expressed his frustration with the cheerleaders' behavior. Sydney was the cousin of one the cheerleaders, so she invited them to her home horror movie party. The cheerleaders' obnoxious and annoying behavior at the party embarrassed Sydney and chased the other guests away.

On the April 19, 1997 episode of "Saturday Night Live", Pamela Anderson reprised her character C.J. from the television show "Baywatch". C.J. attempted to save a beach volleyball player named Dirk but she left her red floaty thing with the cheerleaders. Since the cheerleaders had a little junior lifeguard training, they saved Dirk and C.J.

On the May 9, 1998 episode of "Saturday Night Live", the cheerleaders participated in a Spirit Stick Competition at Camp Paula Abdul. Dale Heavener, played by David Duchovney, was a camp counselor who hosted this competition. Dale Heavener was a "37 year old who collects Barbies and had nipples are the size of dinner plates".

Rivals reminded the two cheerleaders that a squad must have four members to participate in the competition. Dale Heavener volunteered to be the third member of the squad. Paula Abdul then appeared from a helicopter. She was there to collect registration fees, to give Dale Heavener a Malibu Bubble Barbie and be the fourth member of the squad.

On the December 4, 1999 episode of "Saturday Night Live", the cheerleaders cheered at a good spot while watching the East Lake Holiday Parade. One cheerleader had a date for the Snowflake Ball with the hot new guy at school, Johnny Pinto. The other cheerleader asked his crush, color guard captain Gabby Malowski, to be his date for the Snowflake Ball. Johnny and Gabby rejected the cheerleaders and went to the the Snowflake Ball with each other.
