We see Shane jumping in the pool, naked, accompanied by another woman. Jenny sees them, and mentions it to her boyfriend, Tim, who assumes they are his neighbors, Bette and Tina. We realize it is Shane, with an anonymous girl, which doesn't seem that odd after her character further develops.

Shane notices Clive at The Planet; they seem to have known each other for a long time (it's mentioned they used to trick around together). Clive mentions he doesn't have a place to stay, and Shane feels bad for not being able to help him as she herself is sharing a room with 3 other people.

He later introduces her to some people who are primarily interested in her because they presume she's a guy (she's androgynous looking).

Veronica Bloom first notices Shane on a film set. Veronica overhears her refering to her as a crazy bitch, and is impressed how Shane manages to calm an actress 'notorious for holding up production for hours' in a matter of minutes. Veronica finds Shane interesting and hires her as an assistant; she's both annoyed and impressed by the Shane's attitude.

Lenore is introduced as Alice's mom in season 1. It seems she's afraid to be perceived as old or boring by others, so she acts very dramatically. At a pool gathering of friends, we see her only talking to Shane, but it's revealed in the next episode there was a kiss initiated by Lenore. Alice is not happy about this and she finds a way to shorten her mother's visit.

He finds her being beaten by two guys. He defends her and gets her home afterwards. After this event, they develop a friendly relationship.

This is mentioned by Shane herself. She shares this information with Carmen, as a part of her disclosing personal details which symboliss her willingness to start the meaningful relationship Carmen hoped for in the beginning. Otto is the name of the puppy Shane and Carmen are seen puppy sitting for in the beggining of season 3, just before Jenny's return.

At the end of season 1, Tina finds out Bette cheated on her. She leaves her and moves in to Alice's apartment temporarily. All friends side together with Tina, who is very hurt by what Bette did and feels thrown out of balance because she was always so dependant on Bette. Tina and Bette can't spend time with each other anymore, so it seems Bette has been rejected from the group. Shane is the first one who talks to her and reaffirms her friendship to her.

This is mentioned several times. Shane tells the minister during her confession that she used to go to a church shelter in Austin to meet her drug-addicted mother. She also mentions she's from there while meeting Carmen's family.

Lacey is 'the stalker' from season 1. Jenny is, for the most part, Shane's best friend, but their relationship changes during season 6. Paige is her girlfriend throughout season 4. Shane has a momentary brain lapse and kisses Helena at one point, but it never goes any further.
