Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the only episode where Larry the Lobster is referred to as "Big Larry"?

Answer: "Ripped Pants"

Who was Big Larry anyway? Larry the Lobster? Yes indeed. But he was only called as such in the song from the end of "Ripped Pants". It is the first part of the lyrics not sung by SpongeBob. "When Big Larry came round just to put him down, SpongeBob turned into a clown. And no girl EVER wants to dance with the fool who went and-- ripped his pants!" But you all know that you've seen it a million times for well over a decade...
2. Who did SpongeBob sing the Krusty Krab Pizza was for?

Answer: You and me

From "Pizza Delivery", SpongeBob sang "The Krusty Krab Pizza! Is the Pizza! For you and me!" Who can forget the part about the pioneers in this 1999 episode? Who can forget that moss always points to civilization? And he was dead right! Who can forget when they delivered the pizza to Tom at the end, he refused to take it because SpongeBob forgot to bring the Diet Dr. Kelp, which he didn't even order? So Squidward gave the episode a first-rate ending when he took the pizza and threw it in his ungrateful face!
3. In "Suds", when Sandy asked Patrick since when did his house have feet, he told her what?

Answer: It was his mobile home

Patrick's "treatment" of SpongeBob's suds was borderline malpractice! Several seasons later, in "The Splinter" when SpongeBob gets a splinter, Patrick plays doctor again, and I won't spoil it if by some fluke you've missed it, but he does him an even worse way.
4. In what two episodes does Bubble Buddy appear?

Answer: "Bubble Buddy" and "Bubble Buddy Returns"

Who can forget that Bubble Buddy was alive more than a decade ago? Not only is he alive, he's been busy! More than a decade later, in "Bubble Buddy Returns", Bubble Buddy has SpongeBob watch his misbehaving son. And in the end, we learn even getting popped by something sharp isn't the end. Bubble Buddy revives his son, who we then learn to also be very much alive.
5. In "Sing a Song of Patrick", how much money does Patrick take from SpongeBob?

Answer: $100.00

Patrick takes SpongeBob's money, as he is known to often do in various episodes. Since it is not known if Bikini Bottom has any form of welfare, it is likely this is how Patrick makes his living on a regular basis! The hundred dollars Patrick bogarted off SpongeBob was the money the little yellow guy planned to use to pay for his tall stack of comics.

As a result of not being able to pay, he is promptly kicked out of the store, Patrick's song is recorded, and the rest, my friends, is history.
6. Which character has scaled Mt. Climb-Up-and-Fall-Off?

Answer: Patrick

Patrick scales the mountain in "Valentine's Day". He is desperate to find out what SpongeBob's secret gift is. He guesses everything from that quarter, that tent, that guy, that paramecium (how did he know what that was called?), to the carnival itself. Patrick winds up thinking his gift is not at the carnival because it is atop Mt. Climb-Up-and-Fall-Off.

After climbing up the mountain and falling off, he runs back in frantic excitement to SpongeBob, who goads him to go back and make "sure" he didn't miss it.
7. During the closing scene of "Patrick's Staycation", since SpongeBob's bed has been taken by Patrick, he attempts to spend the night at Squidward's house.

Answer: False

This does happen in the closing scene of the episode. SpongeBob goes to Mr. Krabs' anchor home and sleeps in his hammock. Mr. Krabs asks him if Patrick is in his bed again, and he answers in the affirmative. Rather than throw him off the premises as he could have done, he merely wished the lad a good night.
8. The most oft repeated question in "Squid's Day Off" is: "Are you finished with those errands?"

Answer: True

SpongeBob repeats that question to Squidward countless times over the course of the episode, as Squidward keeps coming back looking more and more deranged each time in fear that SpongeBob will destroy the Krusty Krab. This is the only episode where Squidward could care less if it is destroyed. SpongeBob has had his share of responsibilities for the destruction of the Krusty Krab (such as "The Krusty Plate"), but this classic episode that first aired many moons ago is not one of them.
9. In which episode did SpongeBob call the Flying Dutchman "Dutchy"?

Answer: "Ghost Host"

"Ghost Host" is the only episode where SpongeBob calls him Dutchy. When the Dutchman's ship breaks down, he moves in with SpongeBob. He attempts to scare him, and succeeds, but eventually, the sponge grows used to his tricks and he stops being afraid of him. We find out in this episode the Dutchman either is or used to be married.

He tells a female fish he is hitting on that he can't believe they have so much in common: "You like teddy bears, I like teddy bears! You like ponies, I like ponies!" She inquiries if that is a wedding ring on the Dutchman's finger.

He says, "This old thing?!", yanks it off, and tosses it aside.
10. As revealed at the conclusion of "Plankton's Regular", who has been paying Nat to eat Plankton's chum?

Answer: Karen

Tired of hearing Plankton perpetually complain about never having any customers, Karen pays Nat to eat his chum. At the end, an irate Nat returns money to Karen and tells her he does not care how much he pays her, no amount of money can be worth how violently sick Plankton's food makes him.
