Richard Boone (1917-1981) was an American actor who played in over fifty films. "Have Gun - Will Travel" ran from 1957-1963. The name Paladin was taken form the knight warriors in Charlemagne's court of the 9th century. Paladin was a gentleman gunfighter, but also a mercenary gunfighter who traveled the west helping solve peoples problems, usually against unscrupulous adversaries.
