Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the following characters has been portrayed by the most voice actors?

Answer: Tie between Batman/Bruce Wayne and Batgirl/Barbara Gordon

They were portrayed by three different people; the others, two. On the episode, 'Legends Of The Dark Knight' ('Batman: Gotham Knights'), Batman was portrayed in different incarnations by Gary Owens and Michael Ironside, and of course Kevin Conroy throughout the series. Batgirl was portrayed by Melissa Gilbert on the original series, Mary Kay Bergman on 'SubZero,' and then Tara Charendoff on 'Gotham Knights.'
2. Mark Hamill (of Luke Skywalker fame) played which villain on this series and its spin-offs?

Answer: The Joker/Jack Napier

He also played Hobgoblin on 'Spider-Man' (ran on FOX 1994-98) among many others. He has had a quite a few voice roles over the years since 'Star Wars.'
3. John Glover played The Riddler/Edward Nygma on this series. This is not the only 'Batman' character he has played. Which character did he play in the Burton-Schumacher movie series?

Answer: Dr. Jason Woodrue

It was on the last film in this series, 1997's 'Batman & Robin.' His character is the one that had created Bane and the first person killed by Poison Ivy. You've also seen him in the DC Universe on 'Smallville' as Lionel Luthor.
4. The actress who played Andrea Beaumont on the 'Mask Of The Phantasm' movie played whom on 'Superman, The Animated Series' (The one produced by the same team as 'Batman') that ran from 1996-2000?

Answer: Lois Lane

It was Dana Delaney. She continued to play Lois as needed on the 'Batman/Superman' spin-off, 'Justice League/Justice League Unlimited.' She also plays in 'Tombstone,' one of my favorite movies that has nothing to do with DC.
5. Which character's origin was completely rewritten for this series? The new back story became the story for the comic book version of him after this.

Answer: Mr. Freeze/Dr. Victor Fries

Previously, he was a criminal who had an accident trying to create a freeze ray. 'The Animated Series' turned him into the tragic figure who loves his sick wife, frozen until a cure can be found for her. He still had the cryogenic accident, only while freezing his wife.
6. What is the name of the character created by the series' writers who proved popular enough to become a regular villain in the comics? (She was Joker's sidekick.)

Answer: Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn's birth name is Harleen Quinzell. She was a psychiatrist that became enamored by Joker when she interviewed him. She was portrayed (excellently) by Arleen Sorkin. She also provided the voice for Bambi in 'Mask Of The Phantasm.' Another character created for this series that was added to the comics was Officer/Detective Renee Montoya.
7. Adam West, the 60's TV Batman, had a one-episode appearance. What was the name of his character?

Answer: Gray Ghost/Simon Trent

According to the episode, 'Beware The Gray Ghost,' Simon Trent's portrayal of the Gray Ghost inspired a young Bruce Wayne that led partially to the creation of Batman.
8. What is the name of the third identity that Batman/Bruce Wayne used in a single episode to infiltrate the underworld?

Answer: Matches Malone

He used this third identity in the two-part episode 'Shadow Of The Bat.'
9. Roddy McDowall, famous for the 'Planet Of The Apes' films, played what recurring villain?

Answer: Mad Hatter/Dr. Jervis Tetch

Ron Perlman played Clayface. Richard Moll played Two-Face, and Michael Ansara played Mr. Freeze.
10. How many two-part episodes were made?

Answer: 7

They are 'The Cat And The Claw,' 'Feat Of Clay,' 'Two-Face,' 'Heart Of Steel,' 'Robin's Reckoning,' 'Shadow Of The Bat,' and 'The Demon's Quest.' All of them were part of the original series that ran 1992-1995.
