Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "A Night of Neglect", Celine Dion's "All By Myself" is performed by which supporting character?

Answer: Sunshine Corazon

Appearing for the first time since the season premiere, Sunshine Corazon shows up at McKinley High to help contribute to the New Directions' night of neglect benefit concert. She auditions with this number and promises to bring her hundreds of Twitter followers along to raise money.

Unfortunately, Dustin Goolsby, her coach in Vocal Adrenaline, catches wind of this and forces her to back out. "All By Myself" was originally performed by Celine Dion in 1996 on her "Falling Into You" album. This song has been remade many times; it was originally performed by Eric Carmen.

The original Dion version of the song appeared on eight different Billboard charts peaking at number four on the Hot 100. The "Glee" version hit number eighty-seven.
2. In "Night of Neglect", Holly Holliday performs which song by Adele for the benefit concert?

Answer: Turning Tables

The first song on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6", "Turning Tables" was the only single from the episode to make an appearance on the compilation disc. The original "Turning Tables" was released in 2011 by UK artist Adele on her album "21". While not an official single, it reached number sixty-three on the Hot 100; the "Glee" version met with number sixty-six in the same year. Holly is the penultimate performer to take the stage during the night of regret concert and her number expresses her feelings about her and Will's relationship. Shortly after the concert, the two of them go their separate ways.

This is the final number to feature Holly Holliday this season, but not the last to include an Adele song.
3. Mercedes sings the finishing number for the "Night of Neglect" benefit-- Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools".

Answer: False

Mercedes, after a series of absurd requests, finally realizes her mistakes over the past several days and takes the stage to perform Aretha Franklin's "Ain't No Way" while her fellow glee club friends watch from the audience. Even Sandy Ryerson, who set out to begin the downfall of the club, is so moved by the performance that he funds them (albeit with his drug money). While this powerful, soulful number didn't appear on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6" and didn't chart in the U.S., it became the second Aretha Franklin song to appear on the show.

The first one, "R-E-S-P-E-C-T", was also performed by Mercedes in the first episode of "Glee". The original "Ain't No Way" reached number sixteen on the Billboard Hot 100.
4. During "Born This Way", Rachel and Quinn duet to a mash-up of "I Feel Pretty" and "Unpretty". Where does this song begin?

Answer: A plastic surgeon's office

Rated as one of the most poignant mash-ups in the history of the show, "I Feel Pretty"/"Unpretty" was the highest-charting song from "Glee: The Music, Volume 6" reaching number twenty-two on the Billboard Hot 100. The original "I Feel Pretty" appeared in "West Side Story" while "Unpretty" was at number one on the Hot 100 in 1999.

The latter song was also nominated for a Grammy in the same year. During "Born This Way", this song is performed as a duet between often-rivals Quinn and Rachel. Rachel decides she wants to have a nose job performed and Quinn convinces her that it's a good idea.

The both visit the plastic surgeon's office together to plan the operation.
5. During "Born This Way", "Somewhere Only We Know" is the final number to be performed by the Dalton Academy Warblers in season 2.

Answer: True

This song is performed by Blaine at McKinley High and dedicated to Kurt who has left Dalton Academy and returned to New Directions. Bringing the Warblers along with him, they all join in on the steps outside the school (with a piano) to belt out the tune. "Somewhere Only We Know" was the first single from UK band Keane. Released in 2004 on their "Hopes and Fears" album, the song only hit number fifty on the Hot 100 but it reached number three on the UK Singles Chart.

It has since become one of their most popular singles.

The "Glee" version is the final song to appear on "Glee: The Music, Presents the Warblers" and the final song for the Dalton Academy kids in season 2. The "Glee" version popped up to number forty-two on the Hot 100.
6. Who sings "As If We Never Said Goodbye" during "Born This Way"?

Answer: Kurt

"As If We Never Said Goodbye" was originally part of the "Sunset Boulevard" Act II setlist and was performed by the main character, Norma. An Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, it received countless awards including the 1995 Tony Award for 'Best Musical'. The "Glee" version did show on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6" and reached number 80 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. Kurt performs this song upon returning to McKinley and revisiting the auditorium, a site he left behind not too long ago to protect himself from the bullying of Dave Karofsky. Before he knows it, he's right back in with the mesh of New Directions.
7. What is the final number performed during the episode titled "Born This Way"?

Answer: Born This Way

At the end of this particular episode, the Glee Club (excluding Santana, who's not quite ready to come to terms with her sexuality) performs a song and dance to Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" while wearing white shirts featuring their greatest flaws. This also marks the point at which Emma comes to terms with her OCD and Rachel decides that she's fine without a nose job. The "Glee" version of "Born This Way" appeared on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6" and peaked at number forty-four on the Billboard Hot 100.

The original version from Lady Gaga's second full album (of the same name) was an immensely-popular single hitting number one in over a dozen countries and on three of five Billboard charts (including the Hot 100).
8. In "Rumours", who duets with April Rhodes to Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams"?

Answer: Will

Originally appearing on the "Rumours" album by Fleetwood Mac, "Dreams" was the only song by the band to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 despite many amazing hits. The song was written by Stevie Nicks who would later go on to a reputable solo career of her own.

The "Glee" version of "Dreams" reached number ninety-two on the Hot 100 and appeared on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6". This song is performed as a duet between April Rhodes and Will upon April's return to Lima, Ohio. They sing this one together to segue into a week-long assignment dedicated to the Fleetwood Mac "Rumours" album.
9. In "Rumours", "Go Your Own Way" is which of the following?

Answer: A solo by Rachel

Rachel performs this song and aims it towards Finn, who plays the drums on the number, because of Quinn's urgings that he not perform with her anymore if he wants their relationship to continue. This comes after Quinn and Finn's own duet of "I Don't Want to Know". "Go Your Own Way" was also on the Fleetwood Mac "Rumours" album and it was written by Lindsey Buckingham. Aside from reaching number ten on the Billboard Hot 100, the song has appeared on several significant "Rolling Stone" lists and has been covered by many different artists.

It was originally released in 1976. The "Glee" version of the song was the highest-charting number from the episode reaching number forty-five. It also appeared on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6".
10. What song closes the episode entitled "Rumours"?

Answer: Don't Stop

Although all of these songs appear in some form during the episode, "Don't Stop" is the episode's closing number. The kids perform it in the auditorium with Sam and his siblings who they support through the rough times their family is going through as a result of the financial crisis.
"Don't Stop" reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and it was the third U.S. single. This one was written by band member Christine McVie and, like the rest, it appeared on the "Rumours" album. The song also appeared on "Glee: The Music, Volume 6" and reached number seventy-nine on the Hot 100.
