If you were ever stuck on Cloud N. Candy, I think you have far more things to worry about than passing this quiz. He was perhaps the easiest boss in the history of video games. Notwithstanding, he was as unforgettable as he was easy. The late Cloud N. Candy's name was a pun on "cotton candy".

He looked like a large, smiling cloud. All Yoshi had to do was lick him a number of times, and he was licked. Every lick shrunk Cloud N. Candy. As if he wasn't easy enough, each time Yoshi licked him, some of his health got restored.

The candy cloud boss made an unforgettable sound as he jumped from one cloud to the next. It's safe to say, the Yoshi's won the day; Cloud N. Candy could not deter them. He was mean, but tasted sweet.

Answer: Mario can turn into a statue in addition to all of Raccon Mario's powers

Mario can turn into a statue with this suit. The statue seems to be based on the Japanese Folkloric Jizo-Bosatsu, who, according to their superstitions, safeguards travelers and guards souls. The Tanooki is based off of the real life Tanuki, which have been a part of Japanese Folklore since the time of the ancient world. "Tanuki" translates to "Japanese raccoon dog".

As their legends have it, these creatures are devious as well as shapeshifters. Tanoombas, that is, Goombas with raccoon tails and raccoon ears, appeared in both "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga" as well as "Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time".

Indiana Jones-like explorer Professor Kolorado's father is dead. It is highly unlikely that he is aware of this. In "Paper Mario", Mario met Kolorado (later revealed to be a former pupil of Prof. Frankley) at his camp in Dry Dry Desert. He later journied with Mario onboard a whale, who he mistook for a tuna, to Lavalava Island. Mario saves Kolorado there from enemies in Jade Jungle. During Mario's final fight there with the Lava Piranha, Kolorado attempts to aid Mario until he is seared by lava and runs away. Years later, during the events of "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door", Mario and Koops come across a Dull Bones whom Koops believes to be his father. Mario and Koops then discover a letter the Dull Bones is clutching.

This particular Dull Bones is not undead, just dead.

He is completely inanimate. The letter describes how he tried to kill Hooktail but he himself was killed, and not to listen to Hooktail when he deceitfully begs for mercy. It also informs the player that Hooktail fears crickets (hinting to the fact that if Mario finds a badge that can make their sound, it will make his battle won easier).

At the end of the letter, he writes to his son, Kolorado, that he loves him and who he has become. It is then that Koops discovered that the Dull Bones is not his father, Koopley. Koopley was indeed swallowed by Hooktail, however, and he was in his belly for ten years. He was able to survive by staying inside his shell. He also had with him the first Crystal Star.

The large, fat Koopas who blocked Mario and Luigi's paths in several different areas in "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga" were called Ankoopas. Mario or Luigi could hammer them all day, but they would not budge. After Mario and Luigi learnt the Firebrand attack from the Jellyfish Sisters, these large Koopa dunces were no longer an obstacle, as the bros. could blast them away. "Gourmet Guy", "Kent C. Koopa", and "Pak E. Derm" also served as obstacles that blocked the player's path in Mario games. In "Paper Mario", Gourmet Guy blocked Mario's path in "Shy Guy's Toybox".

When Mario game him a cake baked by Tayce T., he rewarded Mario by getting out of the way. Also in "Paper Mario", Kent C. Koopa blocked the route to Pleasent Path and demanded Mario paid him 100 coins or fight him.

It was not common for Mario to have 100 coins on him in "Paper Mario", and even if he did, it would be uncharacteristic of Mario to be intimidated like that. Although difficult with his 70HP and defense of 2, defeating him was doable. D-Down Pound worked great against him. Pak E. Derm blocked Yoshi's path in "Yoshi's Story" in the first level.

A simple ground pound knocked him away long enough for Yoshi to pass.

Answer: "Mario & Wario"

The name of the game is "Mario & Wario", and it was only released for the Super Famicon back in 1993. Why in God's name it wasn't released in North America or anywhere else I'll never know. Even if you have never been to Japan or never bought this off e-Bay (if you had done the latter, you'd know the answer anyway), if you have ever played a little game known as "Super Smash Bros. Melee", you likely knew the answer. Why? Because the bucket Wario threw on top of Mario's head appears in the game as a trophy that explains all about the game. You don't have to learn Japanese should you ever get a copy; the game is entirely in English.

The player did not control Mario or any characters the vast majority of gamers would be familiar with. Rather, a new character named Wanda the Fairy was controlled with the Super Famicon Mouse.

She helped Mario, Yoshi, or Peach (who could not see due to the buckets dropped on their heads) get to Luigi at the goal by using her magic to manipulate the environment. "Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis" used a similar principle.

Answer: Quizmo Question That Has No Answer

"Quizmo Question That Has No Answer" is perhaps the most memorable Sammer Guy, other than End Boss, for his named referenced internationally known quizmaster Chuck Quizmo. All Sammer Guy names refer to something Mario related, save for a few. Quizmo is a top hatted, purple and orange bowtied worm with glasses.

He had a sexy Toadette assistant named Vanna T. Once Mario collected all 64 of his Star Pieces from him in "Paper Mario", Chuck Quizmo stopped appearing. He announced that since he found a true master who knows all he has to ask, he was retiring.

This must explain why he hasn't been seen since.

Answer: Koopa the Quick

I am the big Koopa Troopa who raced Mario twice in "Super Mario 64", first in "Bob-omb Battlefield" and then "Tiny Huge Island". I attributed my improved speed during our second encounted to my Koopa Mach 1 Sprint shoes (and rather my Super Koopa Troopa sneaks in "Super Mario 64 DS").

Kroop was the hard of hearing, elderly mayor of "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door"'s Petalburg. Also from "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door", Mayor Dour was of Twilight Town. Upon learning he needs the mayor's permission to pass the gate to enter the Twilight Trail so he can go to Creepy Steeple, Mario goes went to ask him.

But right before he had the chance, Dour was turned into a pig by Doopliss' black magic. The gatekeeper then turns into a pig, so Mario winded up needing nobody's permission. Mayor Penguin, the Bumpty of Shiver City was from the original "Paper Mario". Mario was accused of his murder (the penguin murder mystery), but as you probably remember, he wasn't dead.

He was merely conked out reaching for a gift for his friend Herringway.

A far greater mystery, to me anyway, is why no one checked for a pulse.

Answer: Bloat

Bloat was an injuriously obese skeletal creature onboard the S.S. Chuckola in "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga". (I don't know how a skeletal-type creature became fat.) While onboard, he got stuck in one of the doorways and was blasted out by Mario and Luigi with dynamite. In case you didn't notice, "Ostaf" backwards is... what Bloat is.

Answer: No

Only Bowser fought Midbus, three times. Midbus made his debut in "Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story". Bowser was the true star of that game. Midbus appears to be a type of Pig/Dragon. Before their final encounter, Midbus turns into Blizzard Midbus, who uses ice attacks and little snowmen that look like Fawful known as Snawfuls to combat Bowser.

In this form, Midbus has more Heart Points than all other bosses, to include the last boss of the game.
