Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these was a WWE game released for the PC?

Answer: "WWE Raw"

"Raw" was also the title of a "WWF" game released in 1994 for the SNES. Neither game fared well, receiving mixed to negative reviews from critics.
2. Which female wrestler appeared on the European cover of "WWE Smackdown! 2: Know Your Role"?

Answer: Chyna

Chyna, also known as Joanie Laurer, was the only female wrestler to ever compete full time in the men's division. She entered the Royal Rumble twice, and even won the Intercontinental Championship!
3. Everybody loves hacking games, but what made hacking "Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth" so special?

Answer: Naked female CAWs

A dream come true for many fanboys. While naked male CAWs would not be possible, female CAWs started popping up all over the Internet.
4. What was "Smackdown vs RAW" released as in Japan?

Answer: "Exciting Pro Wrestling 6"

Japan had used the "Exciting Pro Wrestling" titles until "Smackdown vs Raw 2006". "Fire Pro Wrestling" is an entirely different, and hugely successful Japanese franchise.
5. Which cancelled title would have been an exclusive PC release?

Answer: "Smackdown vs Raw Online"

Unfortunately, "WWE" has not fared well in the PC market, or on portable devices. The best (or worst) example may be when "WWE" released a game for the N-Gage phone. Reviews were harsh, and the game sold poorly.
6. "WWE '13" was released with CM Punk on the cover. Who headlined the Collector's Edition?

Answer: Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold hand signed every single picture of himself that was included with the game. It took him over 100 silver pens, and he came close to breaking his wrist from the level of strain he put on it.
7. "WWF War Zone" provided the game engine for another "WWE" game, as well as 2 "ECW" games. What was the "WWE" game?

Answer: "WWF Attitude"

Unfortunately, "WWF Attitude", as well as "ECW: Hardcore Revolution" and "ECW: Anarchy Rulz", turned out to be nothing more than cheap clones. This led to THQ getting the "WWE" gaming license, and the release of the "Smackdown" (later to become "Smackdown vs Raw", and now "WWE") game series.
8. In which game did the Road to Wrestlemania debut?

Answer: "WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009"

RTWM replaced the popular Season/Story Mode, as well as GM Mode. In "WWE '13", it was itself replaced with Attitude Era Mode.
9. Which game featured Vince McMahon having total control of the media?

Answer: "WWE Crush Hour"

"WWE Crush Hour was" one of only a few games that strayed away from traditional wrestling in favour of a new genre. However, this game was felt to be a clone of "Twisted Metal", and so gained only a small cult following.
10. What was the very first video game to be based on WWE?

Answer: "Micro League Wrestling"

Micro League were responsible for many early sporting games. "Total Extreme" is a franchise based around the behind-the-scenes of wrestling. "Fire Pro" has never been affiliated with WWE.
