"Light and Dark" is actually the name of another MMORPG. The Alliance consists of the Gnomes, Dwarves, Night Elves and Humans. The Horde is made up of Tauren, Undead, Orcs and Trolls.

Yes you can, but only if the character is 'PVP-enabled'. In the PVP servers, there are free-for-all areas where everyone is automatically PVP flagged and you will also be flagged if you enter an enemy area. In all servers, you will be flagged if you attack another character who is already PVP-enabled. (You cannot attack a character unless they are already flagged this way.)

Answer: Paladin and Warlock

Druids get a travel form and Hunters get pets, but neither get free mounts. Paladins and Warlocks do get free mounts, although they have to complete quests in order to get the mounts. However, the quests (especially for the Paladin's level 60 mount) can be very involved and cost almost as much as the other classes' mounts themselves, so there isn't much of a benefit to getting a free mount!

Cannibalize basically allows the Undead to 'eat' a humanoid or undead they had just killed and gain health from it. It's a great way to gain health without having to carry around food all the time.

Arcanite transmutes have earned my character 5 gold for each transmute I've done. However, there is a cool down period for the transmutes that lasts two days, so you can only earn money every other day with this talent. Arcanite is used by other professions and it is a great way to earn money if you are a high level alchemist.

When the game was first released, there was copper, silver and gold currency. A level 40 mount would cost 100 gold (90 for the mount itself and 10 for the riding ability). However if the player was honored with their faction, they could buy both at a 10% discount, costing them 90 gold total.

As the character gets better at First Aid, they can learn heavy linen bandages, wool, etc. There are also recipes for anti-venom bandages, but those require an extra ingredient besides the cloth in order to make.

A mount increases the speed a player can travel. This is needed around level 40 because many of the quests beginning at level 40 make the character travel between areas and not just kill a certain number of beasts in one area. The level was then pushed down to 30 as apparently too many players complained about having to run around the world (probably especially Stranglethorn Vale).

A Warlock's imp comes automatically as a spell from a trainer after you complete the quest. A Hunter has to physically go out to the wild and get an animal to come to the Hunter in order for the hunter to get a pet. Mages and Druids don't really have pets, unless you put your talent points into a certain spec.

Druids and Priests have healing spells. Warlocks can heal their pets and create health shards. (Warlocks can also create soul shards and resurrect a character.) Mages, however, have to rely on health potions, bandages and other players in order to heal. Being cloth-wearers, Mages usually try to stand in the background to do their damage so they don't get hurt that often, but it doesn't always work that way!
