Answer: Texas Western College

Head coach Don Haskins led Texas Western College (now the University of Texas at El Paso) with the first all-black starting lineup in NCAA history to victory. The film starred Josh Lucas as Haskins with Jon Voight as the legendary coach Adolph Rupp of the University of Kentucky.

When Northwestern set the new record in 1981 by losing at home in style to Michigan State 61-14, students rushed on the field and celebrated. After defeating Wyoming 27-22 on Sept. 15, 1979, the Wildcats did not win again until they defeated Northern Illinois 31-6 on Sept. 25, 1982.

In 1929 Lindquist developed a set of tests that evolved into the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, an exam for elementary and middle school students, as well as the Iowa Tests of Educational Development for high school students. The Lindquist Center, the building on the Iowa City campus in which the College of Education is located, was named in his honor.
