Answer: 12-year construction period

The Gevora Hotel, at some point in history, was the tallest hotel in the world. It is located in Dubai, specifically on the Sheikh Zayed Road. In fact, it was awarded the Guinness World Record for this. It boasts around 528 luxurious rooms. The building itself stands at a height of 356 metres. Construction of this building began in 2006 and ended in 2018, marking 12 years.

The massive structure has a pyramid-shaped crown-like structure sitting on top of it.
2. Four Seasons Place KL

Answer: Next to the Petronas Towers

The Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur is a luxurious hotel in a group of buildings which serve many purposes, besides housing this hotel, that include a shopping zone and residential complex. This hotel is one of the tallest in the world and it was apparently criticized at one point as it blocked the view of the Petronas Towers, which are a national treasure in Malaysia.

The Singapore billionaire, Ong Beng Seng, was associated with this project.
3. The Bahia Grand Panama

The JW Marriott Panama in Panama City, Panama was also known as the Bahia Grand Panama, Trump Ocean Club and Trump International Hotel & Tower Panama, at different points in its history. It is one of the tallest hotels in the world and has around 70 storeys.

There are hotel and residential condominium units in its structure. The ownership of the structure changed hands a lot and Donald Trump at one point was associated with the building and thus it was called Trump Ocean Club. This property is a waterfront one and one popular tourist attraction is the ferry rides to Pearl Islands from nearby the hotel.
4. Grand Lisboa, Macau

The Grand Lisboa hotel is a 58-floor hotel in Sé, Macau, China. It was designed by Hong Kong architects Dennis Lau and Ng Chun Man. It houses the the "Star of Stanley Ho" which is a large cushion-shaped diamond named after Dr. Stanley Ho, a Hong Kong-Macau billionaire.

The hotel has over 400 rooms and is the well known for its casino. The hotel is very close to the Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal.
5. Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore

The Swissôtel The Stamford is part of the Raffles City complex which has two hotels, a convention centre, a shopping centre and an office tower. It was designed by the architect I. M. Pei and was completed in 1986. At its opening, it was called The Westin Stamford.

It is a sister hotel to Fairmont Singapore and boasts more than 1200 deluxe rooms and many high-end restaurants and bars. This tall hotel provides beautiful views of the country and nearby islands of Malaysia and Indonesia.

The building 1717 Broadway is a skyscraper hotel containing two hotels, namely the Courtyard by Marriott occupying the lower portion of the building and the hotel Residence Inn on the upper floors. Together there are more than 500 rooms in this building for guests to enjoy.

This hotel is located in Manhattan, New York City, United States, close to the Museum of Modern Art, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. The rooms in this hotel offer views of both Times Square and Central Park.
7. Wuxi Marriott Hotel, China

The Wuxi Marriott Hotel is next to the Luhi Lake in Binhu District China. It is on the Qingyang Road and is one tower among a complex of six. It is more than 300 metres tall and is one of the tallest hotels in the world. The construction ended in 2014.

The China State Construction Engineering Corporation was involved in its construction. Nearby this hotel, is the Wuxi International Finance Plaza, which made this area an important regional financial hub.
8. JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Hotel

The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Hotel is run by Marriott International and is one of the tallest hotels in the world. It is on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The hotel has twin towers and boasts more than 1600 rooms. It was initially planned as a single tower but then it was changed due to the building of a creek.

The architect behind the structure of this hotel was Ashok Korgaonkar. The shape and form of these hotel buildings were inspired by date palm trees. This hotel is not very far away from the Gevora Hotel.
9. Burj Al Arab, Dubai

The architectural structure of the Burj Al Arab hotel was made to resemble the sail of the ship. This mighty structure is placed on an artificial island near Jumeirah, Dubai. The views from the rooms and the terraces of the hotel provide wonderful views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai.

The hotel has a helipad on it at a height of more than 200 metres. The hotel has an atrium that is around 180 metres high. The hotel is managed by a company called the Jumeirah Group.
10. Baiyoke Tower II, Thailand

Answer: In Ratchathewi District

The Baiyoke Tower II is located in the 222 Ratchaprarop Road, of the Ratchathewi District of Bangkok, Thailand. It is a super tall hotel, standing at around 309 metres. Its construction started in 1990 and ended in 1997. The architecture of the building was apparently inspired by the architecture of Thai temples.

There is an observation deck on the 77th floor from which one can get a beautiful view of the city.
