If I read this site correctly it was in the art collection of Joan Whitney Payson in 1965. The site offers for sale a print made from the original at that time. But that's 35 years ago! And the past tense in the last sentence suggests that it may have moved on.

"Limited edition from the art collection of Joan Whitney Payson, daughter of John Whitney N.Y. Joan Whitney was the owner of the NY Mets and an avid art collector. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY has some of the Joan Whitney Payson art collection along with the Portland Museum of Art in Maine. Print made in 1965 from the original painting which was owned by Joan Whitney Payson."
