The distance from goal post to goal post on a standard American football field is 120 yards, or 360 feet. The field is 100 yrds (300 ft) long from goal line to goal line, and each end zone area is an additional 10 yrds (30 ft) each. Hope this helps you out!

An Australian Rules Football field is, according to this site, between 135 and 185 m in length, measuring between the points in the centre of the goal posts at each end. I'm not sure how anything under 150m would work though - there is a centre square that measures 50m on each side, and the arc of a circle with radius 50m, drawn with its centre in the middle of the goal posts, at each end. If these are all drawn the correct size, and do not cross each other, the minimum size is just over 150 metres. Grounds can vary dramatically in size and shape; some are nearly as wide as they are long! (To make an easier comparison to the size of an American football field, 150 metres is about 165 yards.)

In Association Football (soccer) there is a minimum and a maximum. Some teams when playing a certain opposition will instruct their groundsmen to either narrow or broaden the pitch to try and gain an advantage.
