This is a challenging question, in that there are no handy lists or sources on the web that provide definitive (or at least credible) answers. Some of the factors include the variability of how streams are named (brook, wash, wadi, creek, river, etc.), how many names may be applied to the same stream or different sections or tributaries of it, and the enormous numbers involved in large countries like Russia, Canada, China, the US, Brazil, etc. Logically, Russia, by far the largest country in the world, with a landscape and climate that lead to rivers being found throughout its area, should be the country with the most rivers.
