A plank is slightly larger than a board

link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plank_%28wood%29

"The wood (plank) is categorized as a board if its width is less than 2 1?2 in (64 mm), and its thickness is less than 1 1?2 in (38 mm)." This means a plank is longer and thicker than a board.
