When the Swedish suggests "there is no cow on the ice" they are saying there is "nothing to worry about." It may sound silly, but it originates from farmers who did not have running water and would have to take their cows down to the lake to drink in the winter. Obviously, a heavy cow on thin ice would be a big problem. One of the sayings even suggests as long as two feet are still on land everything is okay!
