Who was Pepin the Short's famous son?

Pepin the Short was King of the Franks from 751-768.
Pepin died in 768 from unknown causes and was succeeded by his sons Charlemagne and Carloman. Although unquestionably one of the most powerful and successful rulers of his time, Pepin's reign is largely overshadowed by that of his more famous son, Charlemagne.

Pepin's reign has been largely overshadowed by that of his more famous son, Charlemagne.
Charlemagne was born in the late 740s near Liège in modern day Belgium, the son of the Frankish king Pepin the Short.
