In March of 2021 the Ever Given during windy weather got stuck in the Suez Canal for six days! This accident led to many delays in global trade. At 400 meters the Ever Given is one of the largest container ships in the world. It took 14 tug boats at high tide to finally free up the ship to free up the canal. The owners of the Ever Given were charged $600 million in damages for the incident.
