President Harry S. Truman, 33rd U.S. President (1945-53).

Harry Truman owned a haberdashery in Kansas City.

He worked in a variety of roles before becoming president. These included bank clerk, miner, oil drilling, farming, World War I officer, haberdasher (failed) and politics, including U.S. Senator.
