The Gurkha Welfare Trust was set up in 1969 to help take care of Indian and Nepalese soldiers who helped the Allies during WWII. Actress Joanna Lumley grew up in the Kashmir region and loves spicy food. Her father served as a Gurkha and Joanna has supported efforts for Gurkhas to immigrate to England. So she put her name on a spicy Chutney with some of the proceeds going towards the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
