Santa Fe, New Mexico.

There was some settlement, c. 1607.

Conquistador Don Pedro de Peralta settled there 1609-1610.

In addition to being the oldest state capital, Santa Fe is home to the oldest American public building, the Palace of the Governors – it was also built in 1610 and has been continuously used since then.
