Would you believe, "wife" or "spouse"?

According to the Collins Dictionary (link https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english-spanish/handcuffs), the Spanish word for "handcuffs" is "las esposas".

The same site translates "wife" into Spanish as "la esposa."
