The golden blood type has no Rh antigens in its red blood cells.

It is incredibly rare. Fewer than 50 individuals are thought to have this blood group.

The golden blood type was first found in Aboriginal Australians.

One of the concerns for people in this blood group is if they need transfusions, the pool of donors is very small.
