That would be the San Jose, a Spanish ship sunk by the British navy near the Colombian city of Cartagena in 1708. It was headed home to Spain, carrying around 11 million gold and silver coins, along with chests of emeralds. The native people, who were forced to undertake the mining activities that yielded the valuable material consider it to have been effectively stolen from them. the Colombian government considers it part of their cultural heritage, since it is in their territorial waters.
