RUF essentially built cars that were modified Porsches in a similar vein as AMG uses Mercedes as a base.

However, the latest models introduced in 2016 are independent creations which take inspiration from Porsche designs but are independently developed and share no Porsche parts.

They may look the same but are completely different. The new SCR uses a completely bespoke carbon-fibre monocoque chassis and body work. Lots of other inn-house parts too.
