Grammar correction for clarity:

A perfect number is one that its the sum of its proper divisors (excluding itself). For example, the divisors of 6 are 1, 2, and 3. 1+2+3=6. 28 is another example of a perfect number.

There are 51 known perfect numbers, with the last one being discovered back in 2018. See (link link https://byjus.com/maths/perfect-numbers/) for more information.

A new prefect number was calculated in October this year bringing the total number known to 52. It has 82,048,640 digits.
Interestingly, and as yet no one knows why, all 52 known perfect numbers end with either a 6 or an 8. link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mersenne_primes_and_perfect_numbers
