Chris Klein (Oz) was busy doing a play in London and the film's makers felt there was not enough these two characters could add to the movie that was worth shelling out the money for Chris and Mena to appear a third time.
The film is generally regarded as the weakest of the trilogy with quite a few boring, unfunny and generally forced scenes.
