In the 1947 "Miracle on 34th Street" Santa sings a song with the little Dutch girl in Dutch. Can someone tell me the lyrics of that song in the original Dutch as well as the English translation?

The song is called "The Bugle" if that helps.

There seem to be several versions of this, and more than one translation. I'm sure Flem-ish could come up with the proper classic version:

Sinterklaas kapoentje
Gooi wat in mijn schoentje
Gooi wat mijn laarsje
Dank je Sinterklaasje

St. Nicholas, I beg of you
Drop into my little shoe
Put into my stocking
Thank you, Saint Nicholas

There are a number of Dutch Santa songs at (very aptly) a Miss Ilona website link http://www.peuten.nl/juffrouwilona/sinterklaas.html
The Flemish version would differ in only one detail.
"Sinterklaas Kapoentje
LEG wat in mijn schoentje
LEG wat in mijn laarsje
Dank U Sinterklaasje".
I do not dare to claim that the difference between LEG (Put)
and GOOI ( Throw) reflects a difference in style between Flemish and Dutch kids, but "GOOI" sounds fairly rough to me for a saintly person like Santa.
