There is conflicting evidence over this question, some say the femur...here is my vote:

The title "strongest" bone in the body goes to one of the bones that make up your skull, called the temporal bone. It's the very dense, hard bone on the side of your head that surrounds the inner part of your ear.

The femur is the strongest and longest bone of the human body and is aided by the tibia and fibula in providing the strength and support of the body.

The femur is the longest and strongest bone in the skeleton and is almost perfectly cylindrical in the greater part of its extent.

The mandible, the largest and strongest bone of the face, serves for the reception of the lower teeth.
