A post from someone on a poetry blog page attributes the quote to Granny Clampett in the Beverly Hillbillies. I suspect it's older than that, but I've never heard it before and am not finding much of anything else other than people actually using it. It appears to vary somewhat:
Danny, you're gooder'n ary angel!
You're gooder'n airy angel.
Thank you Stephen, you’re gooder’n any angel!
"You're gooder'n airy a angel"
Jan, you're gooder'n airy angel.
This quote is probably before your time but it fits you like your skin, "You're gooder'n airy a angel", Granny Clampett.

I definitely remember "Loweezy" saying this in the Snuffy Smif comic strip. I don't know if that was before or after Granny, but I think it was before. I haven't found a reference yet, but I will continue looking and get back to you if I do.
