It is warm outside, the roses are really lovely and the laurel is elephant high. Not that I have an elephant to compare, I'm just guessing. Reply #18021. May 05 18, 7:27 AM |

It's story-time, again. I can always think of stories when it's *not* story-time, but rarely think of anything when it's my turn :-p Have a good morning/afternoon/evening/night. Reply #18023. May 05 18, 11:47 AM |

I love that those Free Little Libraries exist. I found the sequel to the book that I've been looking for for a while. Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub. The first book is The Talisman. Reply #18030. May 06 18, 7:20 AM |

In my province, New Brunswick, the flooding of the St. John River has reached historic heights. City streets and highways are under water, bridges closed, water flowing through homes and many residents evacuated. Livestock has been relocated, the moose are coming out of the woods and looking for dry land. The devastation is impossible to describe. Reply #18033. May 06 18, 8:53 PM |

I lived without a phone for more than a year. I had to get one today for official reasons. So now I have a phone in silent mode in the kitchen drawer and I'm not willing to use it. Reply #18034. May 07 18, 1:12 AM |

I've just come back from three days on the island of Mull. While I was there I visited the nearby islands of Ulva and Gometra and I walked to the highest peaks of all three islands. Unfortunately the cloud cover was so low that there were no views from the top of Ben More (966m). I also visited Staffa, and got to see Fingal's cave - my last visit was 21 years ago, but the weather was so rough that they couldn't land the boat on Staffa. Reply #18038. May 08 18, 12:31 AM |
