Today is the 74th Anniversary of D-Day. In memoriam. And thank you to all veterans, both of World War II and today. Reply #18341. Jun 06 18, 8:00 PM |

I keep getting challenges that want me to solve Sports quizzes. This is no fun, frankly, as I know very little about sports, and care even less. Reply #18342. Jun 06 18, 8:02 PM |

This time of year brings too much murder to my yard thanks to hawks and foxes. At least I don't have to witness what the owls murder during the night. Everyone has to eat though. Reply #18344. Jun 06 18, 10:48 PM |

Thanks to the authors for all the quizzes they made. It's nice to play them and interesting to read the extra information afterwards. Piet. Reply #18346. Jun 07 18, 3:13 AM |

Lots of work to do getting the lawn in better shape. The weather has been ideal so it doesn't seem like hard labour. Reply #18349. Jun 07 18, 8:56 AM |

I thought I was getting pretty good at quiz writing and single question submission. I got a wake-up call today. I'd checked all my facts, but forgotten that in history, opinions are important, too. I'd just submitted a question with an answer far enough out of the mainstream to expose myself as the idiot I periodically am. Thankfully, editor Bloomsbury helped me pull it out of the queue and delete it. Moral of the story: Don't just double check, look for stuff on the sides, too! Reply #18351. Jun 07 18, 5:23 PM |

My cat is too finicky; she will only eat certain treats I buy for her now. Reply #18352. Jun 07 18, 9:56 PM |

imphic...........This being a common feature people owned by cats comment upon! :) We have two elderly cats.....the Tom Cat has been with us from a kitten (he is now 16) and never known different, but the other cat came to us from an animal rescue centre when she was 9 years old. (she is now 11). When she first came, she would eagerly eat whatever food was offered..........she learnt quickly! Now today's "oh wow" is tomorrow's "I'm not eating that".......finding something that cat doesn't reject is a work of art (and that includes cat treats). Reply #18353. Jun 08 18, 1:18 AM |

I recently discovered some interesting facts about my grandfathers. One was a guard of German POWs during WWII and the other was an extra in a silent movie during WWI. Reply #18355. Jun 08 18, 5:11 AM |

I forgot to finish my Global Challenge games in the morning. I only did 4 of the 6. Unfortunately, my difficult daily challenge required over about 13,500 points in the Global Challenge which I was unable to obtain. On the bright side, it did give me something to share in this thread which helps me complete my medium daily challenge. Reply #18357. Jun 08 18, 3:36 PM |

Very clever, ret0003. Minnie, my cat, came to me as a three years old stray. In the two and a half years since she moved in, I have learned an awful lot about her previous "owner" through her behaviour. Reply #18360. Jun 09 18, 4:59 AM |
