Subject: The Official Share a Story Thread

Posted by: Terry
Date: Aug 24 12

If you are directed here by a FunTrivia challenge, please reply ONLY in this thread for the challenge. Only posts made here will count towards your challenge!

[ And no, you will be DIRECTED to come here. Posting here without having an already issued challenge will not result in anything! Still, you can post a story if you feel like it anyway ;) ]

If sent here, the title says it all. Your challenge is to share a story.

Tell us, briefly, about something funny or interesting that has happened to you recently. Or something sad. Or something scary. Or something exciting. Something funny or strange you saw?

If nothing funny or interesting or scary or exciting has happened, then write us a poem. Or a song. Or tell us a joke.

Or just tell us what you did today. Did all you accomplish was to brush your teeth? Did you fail to even do that? Do share...

Feeling grumpy today? Tell us what irritates you. What TV show can't you stand? What TV show are you watching that you like?

So go ahead, we're listening. The only rules are that you be polite and follow our very simple rules up above.

Tell us a story...

Congrats, Cal.

On the subject of animals mating, I once observed monarch butterflies homing in on a female in heat. One was successfully mating with her, a second was trying to drive him off, unsuccessfully, but he would drive off every other male who came fluttering in, and that was several.

Dear ARose08, I really enjoyed your story about the ducks. The triumphant duck did know who the "real man" was--himself! I just hope he wasn't too full of himself and his victory to forget about the female duck! Thanks for sharing that story with us. Sincerely, TheQueenly1

The one day cricket series between England and Australia is underway in England/Wales. England won the first match of this 5 match competition fairly convincingly.

I was in a local shop today and recognised the only other customer as actress Juliet Stevenson. Perhaps not so well known outside the UK. She starred in films 'Truly Madly Deeply' with Alan Rickman and 'Bend It Like Beckham'.

I have an interview tomorrow afternoon for a part-time job. I would like a full-time one, but maybe along with the now part time job I already have, I can manage financially. Please say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed that I get the job! Thank you all! Sincerely, TheQueenly1

Dear KayceeKool, That is great! It sounds as if you will be an excellent Thai cook in no time. Maybe you will eventually get to visit Thailand again--you never know. In the meantime, congratulations on letting your fondness for the country lead you into other interests. Take care! Sincerely, TheQueenly1

I took a very lukewarm shower earlier. I wasn't sure why I didn't give myself the usually amenity of hot water. However, I found it a quite refreshing!

Be thankful for showers!
