Congrats, Cal. On the subject of animals mating, I once observed monarch butterflies homing in on a female in heat. One was successfully mating with her, a second was trying to drive him off, unsuccessfully, but he would drive off every other male who came fluttering in, and that was several. Reply #18401. Dear ARose08, I really enjoyed your story about the ducks. The triumphant duck did know who the "real man" was--himself!
