That's the only time in history that one country has provided all the finalists in the two main European championship (soccer) tournaments. NB. I've a feeling there will be a quiz question on this before too long. Reply #21171. May 10 19, 2:41 AM |

Just got back from a trip to Paris. It was so wonderful to see Notre Dame being repaired from the fire. Got close enough to take pictures. Reply #21178. May 10 19, 4:55 PM |

Living close to a beautiful state park, I have regular opportunities to observe animals in their natural habitat. Recently, my sister and I watched a Kingfisher fish from an overhanging tree branch over the lake. He would dive down, catch what looked like a minnow, fly back up to the branch, hit the minnow on the branch a few times, and then swallow the minnow. Shortly afterwards, from our same viewing spot over the lake, we watched what looked like from afar, a bush or scrub floating with the current of the lake. (it was quite far from us) But, as the bush or shrub kept floating and getting closer, we realized we were watching the antlers of a deer. This big buck was swimming in the lake. Eventually, he came ashore across from where we were onto a very steep, rocky shore. He quickly pulled himself upon large rocks and swiftly climbed up into the forest, as if it was no big deal. It was amazing to watch him. My sister and I were the only people in that part of the park. We felt we had gotten a double blessing of nature being nature!!! Reply #21179. May 10 19, 6:51 PM |
