Subject: The Official Share a Story Thread

Posted by: Terry
Date: Aug 24 12

If you are directed here by a FunTrivia challenge, please reply ONLY in this thread for the challenge. Only posts made here will count towards your challenge!

[ And no, you will be DIRECTED to come here. Posting here without having an already issued challenge will not result in anything! Still, you can post a story if you feel like it anyway ;) ]

If sent here, the title says it all. Your challenge is to share a story.

Tell us, briefly, about something funny or interesting that has happened to you recently. Or something sad. Or something scary. Or something exciting. Something funny or strange you saw?

If nothing funny or interesting or scary or exciting has happened, then write us a poem. Or a song. Or tell us a joke.

Or just tell us what you did today. Did all you accomplish was to brush your teeth? Did you fail to even do that? Do share...

Feeling grumpy today? Tell us what irritates you. What TV show can't you stand? What TV show are you watching that you like?

So go ahead, we're listening. The only rules are that you be polite and follow our very simple rules up above.

Tell us a story...

Episode 2 in the eagle saga. Part 1 is on page 1819 . So the eagle has landed but it needs putting together; more complicated than I had anticipated . I'm equal to the task ( I tell myself ) and my flapping raptor will be out there soon, scaring off murdering crows, magpies, pigeons and the rats, hopefully.

I live in Pennsylvania, now call me crazy {wouldn't be the first time} but when June rolls around, you start to think summer thoughts. However, it's a little hard to do when temps don't even reach 70. C'mon Mother Nature, get with the program!

I also work in the medical field. And I am aging . I saw an attractive young woman that looked very familiar. She kept staring at me. She was a new nurse so I went up to her and introduced myself to her. She said oh I know who you are. My grandmother used to work with you and had a huge crush on you! I felt very old all of a sudden.

Rain beautiful rain. After our dry summer (normal for central Western Australia) over 30mm of beautiful soaking rain has started to turn everything green.

Did you see the wedding photos of the Duke of Westminster? His bride wore a long tulle veil that was caught up by the wind a number of times. The photos were heavenly. Fairy. Tale. City.

Another rainy day in Orlando, FL. Its hurricane season and it rains everyday almost. Glad I have my fun trivia to play.

Shorthumbz, I live very near to Chester where the Duke of Westminster was married. He paid for the city to be bedecked with flowers and arranged for free ice cream for spectators!.

He is exceedingly rich of course as he owns vast amounts of London property but it was a nice gesture anyhow.

To continue working at home, I had to buy a bigger desk. It makes the socket a little harder to reach, so I though I would use a smart plug instead, and set routines for it. I used one I have, but had decided to get another. In the shop I got my last ones, they had a different brand than those today. It took a while to get it set up right, but now it is all working.

Someone needs to get Amazon Alexa a sense of humor. I was trying to find out something about bananas. After answering, she asked if I wanted to hear a joke. I said yes. She said what was the baby banana's first word? Then she said Yello.
I'm not going to make that mistake again. LOL

What did the narcissist say when introduced to his host at a party? "You're pleased to meet me!"

I had my first cataract surgery two days ago and I can see so much better. One more eye to go and five weeks of recovery. It will be boring, but it sure is worth it. No more glasses, except when I read. Chas
