While the replacement of low-ranked quizzes is a continuing goal, preparation of extra quizzes to introduce variety for the tourists is also important now that the Bus Ride is well-established. Some tourists have been around the world over ten times, and even nice quizzes get repetitive. The lowest-ranked quiz currently used for the tour has a ranking that is roughly in the top third of all quizzes, so replacement is not an urgent matter, but we would still like to have new quizzes of a suitable quality to use as replacements, to provide a bit of diversity for those players who have played every day since the beginning, and who have probably memorised the answers to the current quizzes.
If you create a new quiz on a Bus Ride country, get it placed online, and have it place within a reasonable ranking, it may be rotated in to provide a more diverse program. Should your quiz manage a higher ranking than the current entry, it could become the permanent fixture, waiting for a future challenger. As an added bonus, we have modified the ratings system to give all quizzes in our rotation a ratings bump.
Feel free to use this thread to also "claim" a country so that you don't duplicate someone else's effort, and make sure to follow along with our later posts and updates to make sure that everything is in order. We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

I believe this to be one of the more fun challenge's on here but fair warning to those who do it, your quiz will probably get pummulled once the stop is made at it. My Irish quiz was rated 112 overall on the site, it won't be after yesterday. This is not a complaint, quizzes should be played and rated. It is just a reality and something author's should be aware of so as to not be too disappointed when it happens. I believe LT has addressed this before but I thought it worth mentioning again. Horray, an African quiz! I must admit that my latest is for Norway, which doesn't really need another quiz desperately, but Adventures in Authoring and Challene Categorie !!, coupled woth the list of Player-Autohr Challenge titles, left me little choice. It may or may not manage to displace the two current quizzes in the list. Both of the Latvia quizzes have been noted. At the next rotation the higher of them will rotate in, the other will remain in reserve. I have expanded my horizons beyond having two quizzes for each country, and am happy to see three when it happens. :) Of course, that means the orphans with only a single usable quiz have a long way to go. The countries listed at the top of this thread currently have no available second quiz that is of a suitable quality to consider for rotation into the Bus Ride. They are the ones that most urgently need a new quiz. I must admit that I just wrote a quiz for Norway, which doesn't really need one at all, because I was writing a photo quiz for Geography, and Norway not only fit with the challenge title I selected, it has such gorgeous scenery! There are no toes on the Bus Ride. All quizzes make a valuable addition to the site, whether or not they are selected for the Bus Ride. And a quiz for a country that is not in desperate need of one may still prove to be a better quiz to be used than what was already there. Bhutan benefited during the Amazing Quiz Race by getting 4 new quizzes in a few days, and now has five sunglasses-bearing quizzes to its name. The quizzes get rotated so that those hardy souls going around the world numerous times get a bit of variety, so the more quizzes there are the better it is.
