Was given some Yves Saint Laurent Lisse Expert Eye & Lip Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate for my birthday last week - it is absolutely brilliant.

From the drugstore brands, I like Boots from the U.K. and Bourjois from France. Though Bourjois is on the pricey side in the U.S.

High end brands - Whatever has the prettiest packaging and is the most difficult to find. I am a marketer's dream, and every husband's nightmare :)

Skincare - I think it's all the same; ginseng, soy, Vitamin B, peels, Q enzymes, skin plumpers, masks. I draw the line at putting fish oil on my face (chitosan). My dermatologist calls that "hope in a bottle". Funnily enough, there is a product with that very name, and it sells very well. I stick to Aveeno.

Bourjois is not too expensive in the UK - it is the budget line from Chanel, so pretty much the same as its mega expensive big sister for lipsticks and eye colours... a bargain!

Think that Boots No.17 is great for starting out Stacey or Rimmel (also from Boots)... non expensive and backed by a big company who do more expensive (probably the same product differently packaged) ranges.

I wholeheartedly agree with Sherry.
In my opinion, Rimmel does a better job with mascara than Boots, but the Boots No. 7 line is really very good.

Stacey, I think it's worth paying a little more for eyeshadow.

My Lancome eyeshadow (treat, silly price) and Max Factor (not too silly) don't change colour till I take them off. The Rimmel eyeshadow fades as you look at it.

The Rimmel mascara is OK, though.

Tesco have got a cheapo range, everything about £2, which might be worth considering if you want to play around with different colours.

Bobbie Brown eyeshadows are brilliant value and the palette ones usually go from a pale to very dark (which if you wet it, can be used as eyeliner)... the whole Bobbie Brown range is good, but not available everywhere. However, according to the gurus on makeover programmes, all make-up has a sell-by date and often deteriorates over time - good selling ploy! However, age old mascara and eye make-up can cause an eye infection.

Waste of money Sherry. Skin care starts with your diet and habits. Wrinkles are natural, why try to hide them. Just call them laughter lines, that's what I do.

If women want to pay £20 a time for tubs of "Pentapeptides and anti-wrinkle" stuff, why not just save up and get the facelift. At least they work for a spell. Those creams are not proven to work.

Myself personally, a bar of soap, and a splash of aftershave keeps me going. Why try to mask/prevent a natural process. It can be an expensive cover-up.

Sherry, YSL is excellent, and have you got one of those Bobby Brown blusher brushes (try saying that fast 5 times lol)

Two deez....some of the creams deffo work...

I don't wear a vast amount of makeup, eyeliner, mascara and lippy for work with a touch of healthy glow bronzer. When I go out, it's the full works. Days off, just mascara and lip gloss. It's a female thing two lol

I have got the Bobby Brown blusher block - sort of graduated shades of blusher, but have to admit use a cheaper big brush to put it on - think I bought it at Muellers?

I don't use any makeup besides lipgloss, and the best brand for that is either Bath and Body Works' lip gloss, or Burt's Bees.

Oh, and Victoria's Secret for their body shimmer stuff. Have any of you smelled "Love Potion" or "Pure Seduction"? It is possibly the best thing I have ever smelled.
